I gave up in the end - whilst after upgrading the driver, I could select WPA-PSK and end the passcodes, it just wouldn't work. Kept getting continual "Acquiring network address". After reading up on this, I infer it's a common problem with Windows XP SP2 and some routers. I've gone for WPA which isn't quite as secure but good enough. Rob.
