I can't get client-mode WPA to work on alchemy firmware.
(WEP however works fine)

Does anyone have a working setup with WPA in client-mode?

I am having a similar problem with Sartori 4.0.

Yes, same thing with Satori too.
Is is even implemented or not?

I went down to a 8-digit WPA key and my wireless is now working okay.  What
gives with that?

No difference for me. 8 character-keys are all that I've tried since
it's the minimum.

The WLAN-led shows acticity and under Status-->Wireless, the AP Signal
disappears every 4-5 seconds but then returns right back again.

It may be the AP (Netgear WGT624) that's having the problems with WPA.
