Satori and WRT54G and also Range Extender--does it work?

1. Have a new Linksys WRT54G router and wonder if the Satori firmware
is all it is cracked up to be in terms of boosting power without
skewing the signal or corrupting connections?

2. Also can the WRT54G work with a Range Extender from Linksys?

Thanks so much for optimal configs or advice. I am a newbie at this.
Been trying to read as much as I can.

Sincerely
Patty

The Linksys Range Extender is an overpriced piece of crap. Avoid it at all
costs. If you bought one, return it to where you got it from.

If you want to extend the range of your network, get a second WRT54G, and
use satori or better yet, Alchemy because Satori is at the end of it's
lifecycle. By enabling WDS, you can use the second WRT54G to extend the
range of your network wirelessly, IE you do not need to run a cable to the
second WRT54G. I know this because it is exactly what I am doing, and it
works very well.
