Channel Issue with LinkSys WPC54GS

New laptop with windows 2000.  No matter what channel the adapter is set to when I log on, the adapter says it connects to the access point but not the internet.  Changing the channel in the device manager automatically fixes the issue.  I have been using channels 6 and 11... when it is set to channel 6 at login, I switch to 11 and it connects to the network...if it is set to 11, i switch to 6 and it connects. Any ideas? Thanks, Tym -- tymk brought to you by http://www.wifi-forum.com/

The channel you use is controlled by the Router/Access Point you set the
channel with the router and the NIC finds the SSDI and uses the same
Channel. If you are connecting with a different channel are you sure you
are connecting to your network and not your neighbors.
