going to go totally wireless, but I want the laptops to be able to connect wirelessly without having to connecto to an access point seperate from the main switch. What are the best switches that integrate wire/wireless? On 25 Feb 2005 14:29:49 -0800, "loafing" <dmg***@yahoo.com> wrote: Think again. What are the best switches that >integrate wire/wireless? point (or router) in a box is not what methinks is a great idea. The switch wants to live where all the wires come together, which is usually in a closet, under a desk, or buried from sight. Meanwhile, the access point wants to live out in the open, up high, in the middle of everything, for maximum radio coverage. Methinks these are mutually exclusive but easily solved by using separate boxes. -- Jeff Liebermann je***@comix.santa-cruz.ca.us 150 Felker St #D http://www.LearnByDestroying.com Santa Cruz CA 95060 AE6KS 831-336-2558
