need dvd recorder with dv output? Can anyone help?

Hi. I thought maybe someone could help me. I need to buy a new dvd
recorder. It must have dv output ( also called 1394 output) or
Firewire output. I know many have dv input.....but i need one with dv
input and output . Does anyone know of any makes / models with dv
output???

As far as I know, there aren't any.   I don't think the MPAA will
allow them to be made.   There are all kinds of useful features that
most people want, but you will never see them on recorders.
Players...no problem, because they can't record any copyright
material.   I think that is also the reason HD recorders are so late
in coming to market.   The MPAA is still deciding what we can have and
what is too dangerous to allow us to have.
