Can anyone recommend a good, low-priced camcorder?  I want to mount
one on my motorcycle behind the windshield.  Not looking for any fancy
features, just a decent camcorder that I can save the video from onto
my computer.

Thanks,
Doug

JVC makes a mini DV camcorder that sells here for 200 euros (it's not made
in japan like almost anything else, but in Malaysia.)I can't recall the
model no.but a trip to Circuit City or Ritz might help you:-)]

How about cameras with an A/V input?  So I could hook up a small
remote camera to it.

Thanks

Most camcorders have that. Just go to your local store and buy one.

One problem: if you're in Europe, I am told (for tax reasons - go
figure), the A/V-in is disabled, but many camcorders can be hacked to
fix that.

I mean that the only thing being sold here that still is made in japan are
the cameras, with the exception of JVC, of course.

Never heard of that.My sony dcr hc32e has nothing in the manual about not
having a A/V in(it says that it has a working A/V input.(Never tried it,
though-the only purpose would be to transfer analog VHS or 8mm to DV)
