I need a JVC remote from my HR-S7800 VCR, although I suspect many JVC
remotes will work. The remote number is LP20303-015.

It is possible that some multi-device remotes will work on your VCR.
You need a remote that has setup codes for JVC VCRs (of course).

In my experience, this is never a great solution, but it may be good
enough.
