need adapter RCA -> CATV

Hi all,

I have a spare (gifted) DVD player which has only S-Video and RCA
stereo and composite outputs, and 2 old TVs which have CATV and UHF
inputs.  One TV also has RCA stereo (but not video) inputs.

I know there are cheap RCA female -> CATV F male adapters ... what I
don't know is whether the composite video output of the DVD player can
drive the CATV input of the TV.  If so I could use such an adapter for
the video and run audio directly to the one TV.

Alternatively, does anyone know of an adapter which takes RCA composite
and stereo inputs (3 wires) and converts to CATV?  I have googled for
such a beast with no luck.

Thanks,
George
