DVD Camcorder Buying Help
I am absolutely ignorant about camcorders and the person I want to buy one for is just as ignorant. What I want to do is have my friend shoot video while he's on vacation and send the video back to me. I will download it to my computer and send the "erased??" DVD back to him for him to re-record. This way I would only have to buy 4-5 DVDs and pay postage. Also, do I understand correctly that the DVD can be played in most DVD players without doing anything? In other words, can you shoot a "movie" and then pop it into one of those portable DVD players? I am much more concerned about ease of use than great resolution/color. The camera would mostly be used for casual family functions and vacations. I am concerned, however, about low-light, since I would want to use it indoors. I am thinking the DVD would be much easier to deal with - especially if one doesn't have access to a computer all the time. Thanks, Jeannine
