Hi Guys

Im preety new to this newsgroup. If my entry is wrong pls show me the
right place

My requirement is I have few Video tapes (small size) whcih i used for
my Panasonic Videocam GS250

I would to like to connect the CAM to my PC and record the tape
contents as a file or direct to CD/DVD. I have a decent high end PC
with CD/DVD rewriteable and firewire port.

Questions:

1) Can i directly connect my cam to my PC or any card is requried?

2) Is there any free software available to read from CAM & write to a
file/CD/DVD?

Please let me know the rough steps and guidance to proceed further..
