Jvc Gy 300u -- $900 -- is this a good price?

I am currently working on my Eagle Scout, and I am creating an
educational video for my final service project that will be broadcast
through the CCTV systems of local elementary schools.

I have about a $0 budget, so my current plan is to buy a camcorder used
and resell it after we finish the project. There is a JVC GY300U for
sale locally for $900 (it comes with some extra accesories like a wide
angle lens adapter and a camera light).

However, it seems like there are very few of these for sale so it is
hard for me to accurately gauge the value of this camera. If I bought
this camera, would I be able to resell it within the next couple of
months (on ebay, most likely) for about what I bought it for? Or would
I be better off with an industry standard, like the GL1 or vx1000?

Thank you!

I don't know about the JVC.  Neither the GL1 nor the VX1000 are industry
standards.  The GL1 is pretty poor.  The VX1000 was okay for when it was
around, but it is completely eclipsed by its successors, the VX2000 and
VX2100.  I don't know that any of these cameras would have significant
resale value.
