TRV950 memory stick video size,
(network and memory stick) and the captured video appears as though it has been matted like a framed picture. How do I restore it to the same size as the miniDV cassette material using a NLE? Dick What you've done is record an MPEG1 format video. Assuming you have an NTSC
format camcorder, the image size is 320 x 240. For DV, you need to stretch this to 720 x 480 or 640 x 480, depending on the particular NLE. In Premiere Pro, for example, import the existing clip and use the motion settings to rescale the clip to fill the output frame. Unfortunately, this will reveal the compression artifacts in the MPEG1 video - nothing you can do about that! John.
