Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a PCI (or PCI Express) MPEG-2 encoder with SDI input.

I need a device driver for Linux 2.6. I can live without an SDK, as
long as the driver's ioctl are well documented.

I'd be grateful for any information you could provide.
What is the price range of such a gizmo?

I forgot something.

I need the encoder to output transport stream packets.

I've run across them a number of times, just Google for
some makes and models then Froogle for some pricing.

Hello Spoons,

I think this is what you are looking for:

MPEG MovieMaker 200S Publisher from Optibase

http://www.optibase.com/Content.aspx?id=83#configs

You have to ask sales about the price. I know at least one company who
is using this product succesfully. You can also ask Optibase to send
you a sample file so you can make sure that your end device will be
able to play the stream. However, they should be standard compliant.

Best Regards,

Vladimir
