Buying Handycam from Europe

Hi Guys,

I'm planning to buy a DVD Handycam (Sony) from Europe to use in India.
Is there any constrain in using it in India?

Earlier, there were 5 regions defined for DVD usage. EU, Northern
America, Asia, Pacific and Middle East and India.

Will this DVD handycam be usable in India? Any idea or suggestion?

Most probably not, India is PAL and so will be a camcorder bought in
Europe.

The regions apply to commercially recorded DVDs. DVDs produced on home
equipment are region free.
