Jerky video playback problems

I turned on my dig video camera and noted the playback was
jerky. Of course, this added problems with importing it to
my iDVD software on my Mac computer. Any suggestions on
what to do. Could this be a situation needing some sort of
cleaning cartridge?

Thanks
Lyndon

What "dig video camera" do you have?
Is playback "jerky" just on the camcorder?  Have you tried viewing the
output on a television?  Is it a miniDV camcorder?  Are you recording in SP
or LP?

A little information would be helpful.

Cleaning the heads and letting the tape play a bit fixed the problem!
