hello,
I'm going to be transferring some vhs tapes to dvd. I'll be buying a dvd
recorder for my pc along with a good capture card (any recommendations?
Pinnacle 700 plus?) input will be through the capture card connected to my
vhs deck.
question: on pre-recorded vhs tapes, which protection schemes should I be
concerned with and how do I defeat those? (I hear Macrovision is nasty, any
others?)
what's the story on "rendering", why does it take so long?
what about editing? anything like audio editing? Is the Adobe editor good?

thanks,

By putting the characters '-- ' at the beginning of a line at the
beginning of a post, you tell most newsreader software that your entire
post is a signature.

That's why, for instance, your post is not visible in this reply. It
was suppressed because my NR took it as a signature.

It was also pretty hard to read the original, because this newsreader,
by default, displays the signature in a small and weird font :-)
