Inserting movie clips into powerpoint
it into a power point? Does one need software? If so what? Thanks. <ShoneyChe***@gmail.com> wrote in message
news:1147479406.392543.144660@j33g2000cwa.googlegroups.com... You need to rip the video from the DVD. There are a number of programs > Can anyone tell me how to take short clip from a DVD movie and insert > it into a power point? Does one need software? If so what? > > Thanks. around that do it, though the ones that will do so from a copy-protected commercial DVD cannot be legally distributed. Once you've ripped the video, you need to edit it to get the clip you want to use. Depending on the ripper that you use, you'll probably be left with mpeg video. A program like VideoReDo will let you edit the clip. Once you've saved the clip, you can import it directly into PowerPoint. However, PowerPoint doesn't work particularly well with mpeg video -- you may need to transcode to WMV or AVI. Microsoft has a free media encoder program that will transcode to wmv. I don't know any free or inexpensive programs that will transcode from mpeg to avi. This is all not a particularly difficult process, but you may want to find someone who understands video to help you. Show quoteHide quote >
