Replacement battery and Canon camcorder charging
charge it in my Canon mvx350i camcorder-builtin charger, it won't charge it properly. It seems it gets only half full. Is there something wrong with the battery or is there some logic built into the camcorder charger that prevents the battery from charging properly? Is the battery supposed to act like a 100% copy of the Canon battery? On 5/10/2006, stei***@gmail.com posted this:

Of course, this is not real proof of anything other than my own paranoia :-) However, with any luck, someone else on this NG will give you good information based on knowledge. Gino -- Gene E. It sounds to me as if yours is defective, especially if you can charge your original Canon battery with no problem. We usually recommend Lenmar or Power 2000 and have had no trouble with either. If your original battery charges fine you might see if you can borrow another charger to try. That being said, my guess is that you've got a defective battery. Good luck.
