Hi

I have the following hardware ...

- Sony Handycam CCD-TR416 with RCA audio out (mono)

- ADS Tech Instant DVD 2.0 with 1/4" mini audio in (stereo)

So I need to get a cable that will connect and convert the mono output to
stereo input so I get sound on both channels instead of just one.  I keep
searching but i'm not an audiophile to know what I'm looking at different
sites.  Could someone suggest a solution?  What & where to buy?  Thanks.

Y adapter. One female RCA and two male RCA.

A few dollars at Radio Shack, Fry's, whatever.

I found nothing at Fry's (but I've seen them in the store), and a $5
version at Radio shack (it was a Monster Cable - they are a high-priced
brand).

Here's one way using what should be available at Radio Shack.  Get
these 2 cables/adapters and hook them together.

Y-jack, male mono phono (RCA) to dual female stereo phono.

Stereo dual phono to single 3 conductor stereo mini plug.
