I've been googling until my fingers hurt!  Can someone
tell me how to convert an mpg file to either mp4 or m4v,
under Linux?  I'm trying to copy some mpg files to my
iPod.

-Thanks

I dont know about linux, but there is software for windows that lets
you convert video for ipod use, also you can try uploading you video to
google.video.com and then downloading it from them for your IPOD - its
an option that they offer from the pull down menu.

Ivan, I've got to give you credit for working really hard to spam these
newsgroups. You even vary the content a little in an effort to match
the thread, although you're often unsuccessful, as here.

Now go home.
