"Bulk" video transitions in Adobe Premier?

I'm using Adobe Premier 7 to build a DVD that is a compilation of
videos and stills.  For transition from still to still, I'm using
video transitions but have only been able to insert the transitions
one still at a time - very time consuming.

Anyone out there know of a way to 'bulk apply' a video transition to a
group of pictures?

Thanks,

Gee... from my "old" Premiere 6 days, I used the Storyboard option. You
would put the stills in the order you want and when you were ready to
render to timeline, you used the default transition (you can adjust the
lenght of the transition [my was cross fade] before sending it to
timeline) and presto... everything there nice and neat.
Mind you, this was with Premiere 6 and 6.5. You should still have the
Storyboard feature in the Pro versions.

ah - the joys of learning a product by 'just using it' - I'll
investigate storyboard - knew there had to be a better way than what I
was using.
Thanks

See if your version has an option, under the menu item "project" called
"automate to sequence".  It then moves all the highlighted project
files into the sequence using the default transition.
