Hi

A customer I sent a UVW-1700G to is recieving the error 02 594 code.
Does anyone know what might cause such an issue? I have not seen that
error at all in my work with Betas.

I looked up the error code online and got:
S-REEL FG AND T-REEL FG COULD NOT BE DETECTED WHILE IN SEARCH MODE
(Neither S reel FG nor T reel FG can be detected in SEARCH mode.)

The deck was securly packaged with bubble wrap and peanuts inside a box.
I am only guessing that maybe one of the peanuts might have gotten
inside as the deck was working before shipping.

I am not sure what to tell the client. The package was shipped via UPS
with insurance. Thou I am not sure this would be caused by a damange in
shipment.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

anthony

If it was working before shipping, my first action would be to guide
the customer through the process of reseating all the circuit boards -
it's possible one has come loose during shipping.

Error 02s are very common with UVW machines for a number of reasons,
but in my experience, when they start occuring after the machine has
been moved it is usualy dry joints on the reel motors. If you check
the pcb under each reel motor, the connector sockets often show rings
around the soldered pins.

Having said that, polystyrene peanuts are NOT a good idea!
