Frame dropping when capturing with ATI all in wonder 128/pro

I am using MiniDV camcoder and 2.4GHz with 512MB RAM computer. When
capturing with ATi All in wonder 128 /Pro in Mpeg2 DVD quality I face
frame dropping problem. There is no frame dropping in VCD quality
capturing. But I need to get high resolution. Is it not possible to get
the hi res. with this card.

With a MiniDV camera surely you are capturing through Firewire? Are
you attempting some sort of format conversion on-the-fly?
