time-lapse + waterproof housing + digital media
help me sort through the zillions of options, or at least narrow them down. I wanted to find a digital video camera (preferably memory based, no CDs, tapes, etc., if that's realistic) that would let me adjust the frame-per-second recording rate so I could do time-lapse shots over the period of several hours. Or is this better done during processing (if that's the case, I'd need to be able to shoot around 5 hours of video). Aditionally, since a lot of this will be from a kayak, it'd be great if it had an under water housing available for it (or, at the very least, a EWA bag that was trip mountable). This will be for generating videos online so (I assume) quality isn't a big deal (i.e. I'm not making professional movies or documentaries or anything). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. -ben you can always take regular footage and compress it for time lapse
shots.
