Fixed Mount PTZ Camera Advice
I am looking for some advice on what equipment to buy to video remotely in a small concert hall. This is in conjunction with an audio recording studio built right next to the hall. I want to mount a PTZ camera in the hall, remotely control it from the studio where the video feed will be coupled with the audio feed. I want to record the video and audio streams on a PC and then edit it to DVD to sell to the patrons and artist. So my needs are: 1. Recommendations for a Good PTZ camera that is better than security quality. This is for little johnny's recital so his proud parents and grandparents can have a DVD of the performance. 2. Suggestions on a remote control.. I know joystick controls are sometimes more expensive than the actual cams. How about software PTZ control? 3. Recommendations on software that can record both a independent video and audio feed and then edit to be DVD ready. I have a PowerMac G5 but would buy a PC if it integrated better with this sort of thing. 4. A good bank to get a third mortgage on my home to pay for this!! LOL -- If a completely different set up has worked for any of you, I would be interested to hear about it. Check out this Sony robotic camera:
