Does any consumer camcorder to time-lapse movies
take single frame pictures at regular intervals so that they're speeded up when played back. It seems simple to do in this day of digital photography. With a gigabyte memory card, I would think over 100 frames could be stored before writing to permanent media. Does anyone have a recommendation for a camcorder that does time lapse. I'd prefer one that can also read my old hi-8 cartridges from a defunct camcorder from the early 90's. I have Konica-Minolta A1 still camera which does exactly what you are asking
for. You can set interval from 20 sec to, I believe, 2 hours. You select if you want movie or just still pictures.
