Inexpensive color bar generator
Even a kit would be good. I have to think that in an age where you can buy a DVD player for $40, that you should be able to buy a color bar generator for less than that. They make an awful lot of DVD players, but not too many colour bar
generators, therefore $40 might not be reachable. On the other hand it depends how portable it need to be. PC and Mac editing systems can produce bars, and so can most cameras down to the VX1000/2000 sort of level I know of a Sony DVD player that had an internal maintance section which
included an option to output color bars directly from the DVD player. I was a little shocked it was built into it. bernie wrote: Show quoteHide quote > They make an awful lot of DVD players, but not too many colour bar > generators, therefore $40 might not be reachable.
