A very odd mystery!!!
laptop, with no problems or issues. Certain videos can be played using Windows Media Player, and on the laptop they will appear only as a rectangle of a slightly lighter hue within the WMP screen. HOWEVER: If I plug in an external monitor - running simultaneously with the [blank WMP] laptop's display - the external screen will show the video perfectly. ???? Goto Tools/Options.../Performance/Advanced... and have a tweak with the
various settings there. They control how to use overlays etc. The slightly lighter hue you describe is where the overlay is. John.
