Ok....I've got a "HD ready" tv....I assume that that means I need a HD
converter from my cable company or a HD converter for a satelite dish to get
HD broadcasts....
but if I have a HD camcorder...can I play the video I shoot directly on my
TV in high def.?

....Also would a single chip HD like the new Sony HD HC-1 camera be as good
or better than something like a VX2000 or GL2 3 chip DV camcorder for
picture quality if it's downgraded to just DV output?

.....Order the "Accordion Evolution" documentary of the Las Vegas
International Accordion Convention from my website:

....Del Sur Al Norte...Regina Sk. Canada Latin and South American Folk dance

Should be able to. The Z1 certainly has component HD output which
should plug straight into an HDTV, I presume the other HDV cameras
do... unfortunately I don't have an HDTV to test it on.

Except in low light, yes. If nothing else, it will be a true 16:9 image
rather than digitally stretched from a 4:3 CCD.
