Anamorphic Conversion
convert them to anamorphic format in Premiere 6.5 and do a test - the results seem to work quite well. I increased the height by 33% (set as 133) and applied a 10% sharpening filter. The originals were shot on either a Panasonic EZ1 or a JVC GY-DV500 PAL format 3 chip cameras. The output looked great on both my monitor and on a domestic widescreen TV. The results were comparable to using my anamorphic lens with the advantage of being able to use the full zoom range - you would need to frame your shooting allowing for the reduction in height in the viewfinder - the GY-DV500 has a viewfinder indicator to allow you to do this. Give it a try and let us know your results. BUD(UK)
