Sony TRV-33 no TTL video problem
I have owned my TRV-33 for about 18 mos and all of a sudden the camera will not record video throught the lens. I have audio and can see already recorded video on the LCD and viewfinder. It isn't a problem with either of those. FYI - the camera had not been dropped. I spoke to a repair store near me and they said (without looking at it) that the CCD may have died and it would cost $300 to repair if that was the case. They said the CCD has been a common issue with Sony cameras. Does this sound right to anyone or does anyone know what else might be wrong (that may be cheaper to fix)? If it's going to cost that much to fix then I'm just going to buy another brand of camera because it shouldn't have died this quickly. I'll just keep this one as a A/D converter for my computer and get an inexpensive one for around the $300 it would take to fix this. Monty Dear Monty,
