JVC MiniDV AUDIO problem

I just bought a JVC GR-D90 and it was working fine for a couple of
days, but now there is no audio.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, sort of, on a Sony TRV22. It needed, and now has, a new loudspeaker.
I was playing back film of a folk-band and they were playing and singing
with gusto.
My advice is:- Don't have the audio volume setting at much higher than
mid-way.
