Video and sound out of sync!
I want to burn these to DVDs. I have Nero6, The downloaded movies on the HDD are perfect, but when they are recoded by Nero6 and burned the resultant DVDs have the video/sound way out of sync. Can someone advise me what to do about this because I am desperate. I need advice about some software or hardware to fix it. There is nothing in the Nero6 manuals about this problem! Right now I have WindowsXP pro with an Intel 4pentium 1.72GHz, 512Mb RAM and I could by more RAM if required. I need advice in simple language. Regards, Peter What is the format of the downloaded file? - more info if any one is to
provide worthwhile help. Here goes having a guess at your problem- Basically you may have to demux the file first - ie separate out the video and audio into 2 tracks then edit out commercials and top and tail etc then remux and save as a mpeg2 file. Then use Nero. A good program to demux and fix up time errors automatically is ProjectX a free Java based program. To edit and remux you could use VideoRedo or Womble. There are many other programs that could be used, if the HDTV file is a transport stream there is the possibility of time code errors and correction in a Program like ProjectX is essential.
