Is they any different? Would the quality video be better? I feel the quality
of the video in my pc downgrade abit after I transfer from my DVcam. I
compare it with my TV where direct connect to DVcam. I m not experience in
video. For audio, they would have a different quality when using cheap
cable.

No. Possibly the apparent degradation is a result of how the video is
displayed on the PC monitor. Any problems on the firewire are more likely to
show up as dropped frames or pixelation as opposed to the general
degradation in quality.

Displaying interlaced video (which is what you've shot) on a
progressive-scan monitor (which is what most standard computer monitors are)
will make it look a bit 'funny', so that's one thing to take into account.

Second, you're shooting DV, which means that as long as the signal can
actually be decoded at the other end of the cable, the cable has no effect
on the digital signal passing through. You are correct in that some cheap
audio cables will mess around with the audio, because the analogue audio can
be affected by that - digital signals are generally impervious to cable
loss.

The cable and connectors need to be of adequate electrical and
physical construction.   This isn't expensive to achieve.   Certainly
"boutique" cables are a complete waste of money.

As they are for audio, but some people's religion teaches otherwise

Than I just stay for the present one. I have seen some expensive firewire
cable from those hifi shop. That is make me wonder is it got different. I
have use some expensive composite cable and s video cable to transfer the
footage from my previous Hi8 cam. And it has a different.
