How to set date stamp on Sony TVR-340E

Hi , I have a Sony TVR-340E and cannot work out how to display the date on
the screen, I usually like to display the date for 20 seconds or so, to keep
track of when I shot the video.

Any clues?

IF it's like my TRV60, there's a Menu setting when in Playback mode entitled
"Data Code", and this allows visibility of the Date/Time, Camera Settings or
OFF during playback. On screen visibility is controlled by the Remote
Control.
