Can anyone tell me around how much a replacement ccd for a sony
camcorder would cost, and does sony sell these parts?

My guess is that it would be at least $200 for their cheapest CCD.
Have you thought about how you would install it assuming you could
purchase a replacement?   I seriously doubt that any owner has ever
replaced a defective CCD.   Kind of like heart surgery on a human.   It
requires specialized knowledge, special test equipment for adjusting
the new CCD and special installation instructions available only to
authorized service locations.

Usually a defective CCD is a death sentence on a camcorder.   Your
money would be better spend on purchasing a replacement camcorder.
