I'm in the market for a new VCR.  It's been years since I've bought one
brand new.  Mine is ancient.  With my kids growing up I would like
something that allows me to block channels.  Our TV will do this but
the VCR will not.  Do new model VCRs give you the ability to block
recording/viewing of channels and/or content?  If so, which models?

Thanks

I'm not sure for USA, as this was never available in Europe. But I bought a
new VCR for a relative, and it has all usual features that VCRs had in
Europe. Why don't you go out in a store and ask?
