camera and the manual has gotten lost.

the camera is several years old and i havent been able to find a manual for
it, even on the sony site.  the camera still works but i dont want to lose
the current film.

if i purchase a new model camcorder will my old tapes play?

what should i look for in a new camera, that is perhaps under $500.  can a
good one be gotten for that?

thanks.

The current TRV480 Digital8 camcorder can also play back Video8 and Hi8
analog recorded video tapes.  I think it lists for around $350.
