Newbie: wireless TV transmitters

I have a standard TV ariel wall socket in one room, but wish to put my
television in another room.

At the moment, I am using a very long cable, with an ariel booster!

Everything works, but I keep tripping over the cable, which snakes it's
way right through the middle of my house.

I have heard about "wireless TV transmitters", but when I read the
instructions on the back of the packs in stores, it says "transmit the
signal from one TV to another".  I only have 1 TV.  Does a product
exist for my specific requirements?

Thank you. Regards, dnw.

you might run the cable thru the attic or under the floor.

So are you implying that there's no wireless solution to my problem?
Thing is, the length is 20 metres, and even if I were to successfully
hide the cable, it's giving me poor results, even with a booster.  I've
heard that modern wireless transmitters are superb - transmitting
excellent picture quality through brick walls.

I asked tech support at Maplin, and they said that they do not sell
such a device, so I think that there is a strong chance that such a
device simply does not exist.

You may well be correct.  But your logic is faulty. :-)

If the following proposition is true:

"If it exists anywhere, then Maplin sells it"

then his logic is correct :-)

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

(And no, I'm not really sorry!)
