Does anybody know what brand of deinterlacing chip is used by the above
mentioned DVD recorder? Does Panasonic use the same chips in all their
DVD players and recorders?
How good are they at deinterlacing PAL and NTSC film sourced DVDs?

Regards,
Peter Mason

I have both a DMR-E55 and a DMR-HS2 and they both deinterlace NTSC DVD's
quite well.   Neither will play PAL DVDs which was a big letdown.
