PAL and NTSC format and will send a signal out in either. How can I tune it into my Tv here in North America. Aiwa has no online manuel for this model only the American model. denzil.gr***@gmail.com wrote:

How can I > tune it into my Tv here in North America. to what I could find with a quick Google search, it even allows for converting from one standard to the other, but I wonder if the "multisystemness" really goes all the way to the RF modulator and tuner parts of it. The answer may be: you can't. Be that as it might, my advice would be not even trying to "tune in" to the RF signal it outputs (even if it worked.) The RF signal is the lowest quality signal type in the pecking order of video signals. You generally do not want to use that for anything else than receiving free-to-air broadcasts. Instead, use whatever composite (CVBS) video signal output there is on the back of the VCR, and connect a cable from there to the AV connector of your TV set (usually an RCA type connector in American tv sets), bypassing RF signals completely. * * * If you bought the VCR from the UK, the CVBS (composite video) output on the back of the VCR is likely to be a Scart connector. If that's the case, you will need to buy an adapter: <http://www.tvcables.co.uk/images/items/scadap.jpg> -- znark If the VCR has SCART only, you will need an adapter for the WRY RCA plugs.
If it has the RG59 connector, connect it directly to the TV and look for a menu item in the VCR that sets output to NTSC or save the trouble and pay $29 to Walmart for a new one <denzil.gr***@gmail.com> wrote in message Show quoteHide quote news:1117730940.658024.25890@f14g2000cwb.googlegroups.com... > I have brought with me from the UK my Aiwa HV-MX1 VCR.
