I have got a VCR from my friend.
Old one. Samsung.
Play a tape there. Bad picture. Very unclear.
Take same tape;  play in a good VCR. Get good picture.
Can I fix it cheap or what can be dtried. I have not used VCRs probably
for 10 years, so I do not remember probably the obvious things to do?

Tape heads on the Samsung VCR may be dirty.  You would be better off
looking for a DVD recorder with a separate hard drive to store your
videos on DVDRs.

Is "clean the heads" too obvious?   :-)
