I have a Canon Optura 20 which has worked fine for a year and now all
of a sudden it will not accept a charge.  The yellow charging light
will not illuminate. Any suggestions?

Have you tested the adapter to make sure it's outputting power?

Two other possibilities: something gone wrong with the connector,
something gone wrong with the camera's charging circuit.

Another possibility is that the battery is bad, but I'm not sure that
would keep the charging light from lighting.

One test: connect the camera without the battery to the charger and see
if the camera works. That would at least limit the possibilities.

Oh - another idea came to me. The charging light itself is bad. This
sounds a bit like a joke, but it could possibly happen. Have you tried
plugging it in for the normal charging time to see what happens?

The best bet, short of borrowing someone else's kit so you can test
each piece of the setup, is probably to send it to Canon for service.
They would probably tell you what their fee schedule is. But I wouldn't
do this unless I was sure it wasn't just a dead battery, since
batteries do have a tendency to fail.
