svga from pc to tv?

I am running xp on an athalon 64 3000+ based computer. My video card
(Nvidia ti 2000) has an svhs output what program(s) do I need to play
back my computer dvd or mpeg files back on my television?

it is a svideo output.
have a look for tvtool @ www.tvtool.de
that will allow you to output what is onscreen to a tv via the svideo
connection.
you will need to feed sound seperately.

any other software playing to the pc screen should be mirrored to the
tv.

Thank you for the referral, however, my card does not have the tv chip
the software wants. Could you suggest an inexpensive card that is
supported by this program? As I do not have an hdtv set and in 11/2
years all US tv will digital I do not want to buy some thing expensive
at this point.
