That's pretty stupid. Why would anyone buy a $6000 HD camcorder if they weren't going to shoot in 24p? Surely not to make home videos of their cat to play on their widescreen TV? The Panasonic thing seems nuts too. Why record to flash card? It would make more sense if they put an iPod-like hard disc into the camera (60GB or whatever), or let you record directly to an external Firewire disc (e.g. iPod). I don't know if any cameras currently let you do that. We're in the middle of a big discussion about the proposed Panny on the
