Hello,

I was hoping that somebody could help me. Sorry for the newbie
question, but...

I have a dvd recorder/player on which I have made a copy of my old VHS
home movie, that was made using an analog camcorder. My Dvd
recorder/player will play a Video-cd and cd-r.  My problem is that my
computer can play DVDs, but it only has a CD burner.

I would like to edit this using video editing software on my computer.
It came with Windows Movie Maker, which I am having trouble with. So I
might have to get another editing program.

After I am done editing it, do I need software to create a cd-r that
will play in my DVD player? If so, which kind? Or do I just copy the
contents of my DVD onto my computer and then burn it onto a cd?

Thanks in advance,
Lisa

dvd and cd formats are completely different. There atr software that will
shrink a dvd to a cd -r format and then it can be burnt on the cd writer. It
will play on many DVD players. DVD Shrink is the software you need.
