NO they DON'T have a decent bit rate. ABYSMAL quality. The fact that you've even brought up the issue of video quality is a guarantee you'll be disappointed with a DVD camera. C. However, single-pass encoding, whether CBR or VBR will not produce as high-quality a result as 2-pass VBR, which is available with most decent standalone software transcoders.
