Dynamic vs Basic

Somehow a new HDD I installed ended up formatted as dynamic while the
others are basic. Will this cause any difficulties in speed with any of the
drives? I seem to find my system has slowed but I am not sure if this is
why.

I'm not sure about speed, but it does limit the drive.  You won't, so
warns a Windows dialog, be able to put the drive in another PC and be
able to read it.

Not sure about this, but maybe he will be able to reat it (after
"activating" it in disc management) in another win2k/xp machine.

I was screwing around with Partition Magic and somehow ended up with a
dynamic disk?? Moved my data off the disk and changed back to basic. No
problems and works fine. Primary, Extended & logical. The windows articles
suggested took me thru it.

Great. Thanks for the help. I don't think I have really noticed any
difficulties that I could say was due to this situation but I had planned on
doing more reading on this. Were you having any specific problems that were
fixed by changing the disk?
