Heat- GA 7N400 Pro2 rev2
up to 60C. Hovers right around 60-61. At that point I go into Win 2000 pro and MBM 5 reports 52C. I installed the CPU with Artic silver5. It's been about two months now and I thought that stuff was supposed to get better with age as it cured? When first built I was running in the high forties. Seems to be getting hotter, not cooler. Everything runs allright, no problems there, mabey I shouldn't question? AMD 3200+ with a Thermaltake silent boost HS/fan. Thermaltake butterfly PSU (2 fans) 80 MM fan in back (2) 80 MM fans pulling air in the front 80 MM fan pulling air in side panel u tried clean the dust out of your system?

That's about all you can expect, and even less than 2C if you put a very thin coating on, as there is then less to squish out over time. >When first built I was running in the high forties. Seems odd. Is the ambient room temp higher? CPU temp>Seems to be getting hotter, not cooler. should somewhat directly correspond to changes in room or case temp. As such, not only will a dirty (dusty) heatsink/fan increase temps but case inlet and exhaust reduction from dust "can" also have same end result. Perhaps your board has a thermal speed controller, such that no matter what you do it will simply reduce fan speed till it reaches this same temp? >Everything runs allright, no Then you should be happy to have a stable system with only>problems there, mabey I shouldn't question? low noise levels (considering the Silent Boost).
